Lake Texoma Wildlife

Lake Texoma is a sprawling 89,000-acre ecosystem that supports fish and wildlife species that range from the prehistoric (alligator gar, Atractoseus Spatula) to the whimsical (the playful river otter, Lutra Canadensis). Cedar Bayou’s geography on Lake Texoma sits just a 30-minute drive Northwest of the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, a coveted birding destination and 11,000+ acres of protected upland and marsh habitat.

Our location exists as a unique blend of mixed habitats that support a diversity of awe-inspiring creatures. Waterfowl and semi-aquatic fauna call the Cedar Bayou trails and shorelines home, and with each visit you may see something different that inspires and captivates.
